Married at First Sight Chapter 1233

Chapter 1233
After Duncan frightened Jessica away, he glanced at the closed door and took out his phone to call Liberty.
It didn’t take long for Liberty to answer the call.
“Why isn’t All You Can Eat open today, Liberty?”
Duncan’s tone came off as a bit harsh.
“Seren and I are dealing with some matters in our hometown. I’ve closed for the day to address the ownership issue with our parents’ home. What’s up?”
Duncan asked, “Oh. Is it going to be resolved today? Do you need to go to court?”
He was willing to help if Liberty decided to take the Hunt family to court.
“We’re settling it out of court. I have to go, Mr. Lewis. Talk soon.”
“Sure.”
Duncan ended the call.
Why hadn’t he received any updates regarding Liberty’s home issue? She hadn’t mentioned anything to him.
Then again, why would she?
He was not significant to her; she had no obligation to share her personal matters with him.
With that thought, Duncan felt much better.
Since All You Can Eat was closed, he had to rush to the office for a meeting on an empty stomach.
Not long after he left, Lily arrived at the diner.
Of course, Lily couldn’t see anything since the establishment was closed. She still had no idea that Liberty owned All You Can Eat.
She had come to deliver homemade breakfast to Duncan.
Spotting Duncan’s parked vehicle in front of the diner from a distance, Lily pulled up and watched him.
Lily witnessed Duncan sending Jessica away.
She even took a photo of them so Mrs. Lewis could identify who Duncan was talking to.
Jessica left in a huff, but their brief exchange indicated that they knew each other. Initially, Lily was confident that she would win Duncan over without a doubt.

Despite Mrs. Lewis’ warning, she remained optimistic while keeping an eye out for other women around Duncan. Lily would analyze and eliminate any potential rivals, specifically any woman who knew Duncan and had interacted with him. She was determined to pursue only those opportunities that promised results.

After Duncan drove away, Lily started her engine and followed him. No sooner had Duncan entered his office than his secretary knocked on the door.

“Mr. Lewis, Ms. Harmon is here,” she announced.

Duncan took a seat and replied, “Tell her I don’t have time today. I’m heading to a meeting. She can reach out to my mom for anything.”

The secretary fell silent.

It was too late.

Ms. Harmon had arrived and was now right behind him.

“I want to discuss a partnership with you. I don’t believe Mrs. Lewis can assist me with that,” Lily said as she entered the CEO’s office carrying two food containers.

The secretary tactfully stepped out of the office.

With Lily’s entrance, Duncan mentally cursed his secretary for the late notice. He also felt frustrated with his mother. Since she had introduced Lily around the company, it essentially gave Lily free rein to come and go as she pleased.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Harmon had been a close friend of his mother for decades, which left Duncan unable to dismiss Lily. Besides, she hadn’t crossed any lines—she was simply visiting his company and proposing a collaboration.
