Married at First Sight Chapter 1226

Chapter 1226

Josh’s words made Jasmine blush. He simply couldn’t wait.

“Alright. We’ll have the engagement party first, followed by a visit to city hall, and finally, the wedding.”

Josh respected Jasmine’s wishes and genuinely wanted the best for her. Following the proper sequence of events would surely please the Soxes.

The engagement party was destined to be a grand affair, given Josh’s standing in society. The attendees would include the influential figures of Wiltspoon’s elite.

Josh called his parents to share the exciting news of his proposal to Jasmine, and of course, she accepted.

He then asked if they could come over to discuss wedding details with his future in-laws.

Delighted by the news, Mrs. Bucham responded, “I’m busy right now, but nothing takes precedence over my son’s marriage. I’ll ask your dad and uncle to prepare a gift and head over to your in-laws.”

“Thank you, Mom.”

Mrs. Bucham smiled and replied, “Don’t mention it. I’m truly happy for you, Josh. Just remember to be nice to Jasmine and never take advantage of her. I won’t side with you just because you’re my son. Jasmine is right when she is right. Even if she’s wrong, she’s still right. A happy wife leads to a happy life.”

Her son had always been selective about women, so it was a significant step for Josh to commit to Jasmine.

Mrs. Bucham held a special affection for Jasmine. After all, she had given Jasmine the family heirloom during their first meeting and had decided long ago that Jasmine would be her daughter-in-law.

“Got it, Mom.”

Josh maintained a serious demeanor. He understood that marriage was not a trivial matter; he had carefully considered it and listened to his heart.

“Alright. I know my son. I trust you will treat Jasmine well. I should

“Let’s end the call here. I need to reach out to the lady of the household for assistance in selecting a gift. We’ll arrive by sundown.”

Josh was the first in his generation to get married.

The senior family members regarded this significant event with great seriousness.

Josh was the nephew of the head of the Bucham household and shared a close bond with Julian, the family’s heir.

Before sunset, the elders, heir, and other members of the Bucham family arrived at the Soxes’ residence.

Given the influx of guests and vehicles loaded with gifts, the neighbors assumed that Josh and Jasmine would be tying the knot that very night. It was clear how the Buchams viewed Jasmine.

With Josh and Jasmine’s engagement now official, the heir, who was older and still single, attracted considerable attention from his senior family members that evening.

Julian needed to find an excuse to leave shortly after dinner.

Noticing the elders’ concern for Julian’s marital status, Jasmine leaned in and whispered to Josh, “I wonder what kind of woman could settle him down.”

While Julian wasn’t as widely recognized as prominent businessmen like Zachary and Clive in Wiltspoon, he wielded more power than those CEOs and was not someone to be trifled with.

Josh replied, “I’m not sure. He’s never mentioned the type of girl he prefers. The head of the household is quite liberal and generally stays out of our private matters. Nevertheless, he has been urging Julian to marry, especially since Julian is getting older.”

Julian was older than Josh, who was in his early thirties, while Julian was nearing his forties.

It’s understandable that the head and lady of the Bucham household felt anxious about the situation.
