Married at First Sight Chapter 1200

Chapter 1200
Old Mr. Hunt had been spreading rumors in their hometown that Scott was not their biological son. After feeling he had gathered enough gossip, he eagerly sought out Serenity the next day.
“What are you doing here?”
Mrs. Brown’s expression turned hostile upon spotting Old Mr. Hunt. She remembered how he had taken tens of thousands of dollars from her without fulfilling his obligations. When she tried to reclaim her money, he denied any wrongdoing, which infuriated her further.
Seeing Old Mr. Hunt accompanied by his son and grandchildren, Mrs. Brown glared at him icily. “You’re here to tarnish Serenity’s reputation again, aren’t you, you old fool?”
Mrs. Brown was well aware of the Hunts’ notorious reputation.
She had previously confided in her husband that the Hunts were incredibly shameless. Over a decade ago, they had taken a significant portion of the insurance payout and had even driven Liberty and Serenity away, preventing them from returning home. They had never cared for the sisters, yet they were still clinging to the assets left behind by the girls’ parents.
Now that Serenity had married into the York family, the Hunts were scheming to extract a large sum of money from her for their future needs.
They were truly audacious.
“Why are you here again? Your son and Liberty are divorced. Why do you keep coming to Serenity? Are you trying to take advantage of her?”
Old Mr. Hunt and his family held a poor opinion of the Browns as well.
They were aware that the Browns continued to harass Liberty even after her divorce from Hank. The Hunts suspected that the Browns felt regret upon witnessing the sisters finding their wealthy aunt and Serenity marrying into affluence. The Browns seemed eager to reconcile with them.

Liberty. By doing this, they could secure the assistance of the York family.

Those with the last name Hunt were related to Serenity and Liberty, yet they had received no benefits. How could the Browns think they were entitled to cut in line?

“I wonder who the shameless person is, parading their children and grandchildren to exploit others for personal gain,” one voice remarked.

“You’re the shameless one, you old hag!” retorted Old Mr. Hunt, refusing to back down in the exchange.

“Who are you calling a hag?” Chelsea shot back, fluent in the art of argument. Upon hearing Old Mr. Hunt insult her mother, she pointed at him and scolded him without restraint.

Old Mr. Hunt’s children and grandchildren were not about to let Chelsea point her finger at him without a response. They quickly retaliated with their own insults.

What began as a quarrel between two individuals swiftly escalated into a full-blown feud between two families.

Serenity chose not to intervene, allowing the two families to clash. She and her two best friends watched intently, thoroughly entertained by the unfolding drama.

Meanwhile, Sonny had his ears covered by Elisa, who pressed his head against her body to shield him from the chaos and protect his innocent spirit from being tainted.

The Browns had come to express their gratitude to Serenity. Sharing their disdain for Old Mr. Hunt and his family, they aligned themselves with Serenity, eagerly joining in the criticism directed at the three generations of the Hunt family.

Although Old Mr. Hunt was a skilled fighter in verbal disputes, he was unfortunately up against Chelsea and her mother. In a battle of words, men often stood little chance against women, especially when fists were not involved. Their voices lacked the sharpness of a woman’s.

Chelsea and her mother took turns confronting Old Mr. Hunt and his family, delivering scathing remarks.

until their faces turned red with anger. “I’ve never encountered such a heartless and cruel grandfather as you. It’s already heartbreaking that Liberty and her sister lost their parents. Yet, you and your family took a significant portion of the insurance payout and monopolized the assets their parents left behind. Your entire family must have black hearts. You will all meet miserable ends.” Mrs. Brown accused Old Mr. Hunt, pointing her finger at him.
