Married at First Sight Chapter 1196

time in the office, Callum felt a mix of excitement and anxiety about his feelings for Camryn. He had started developing feelings for her, but he knew she was unaware of his interest. It was no surprise that she had declined to accept roses from him.

“The flowers are lovely. Thank you for the bouquet, Ms. Newman,” Callum said as he accepted the flowers and admired their beauty. After expressing his gratitude, he added while holding the bouquet, “I’ll head to work now, Ms. Newman.”

Once outside, Callum walked to his car, opened the passenger door, and placed the bouquet on the seat. Before getting in the car and driving away, he turned to take one last look at Camryn.

Camryn listened intently to the sounds coming from the entrance and sighed in relief when she heard the sound of a car engine starting. She had the impression that Mr. York was focused on her—not in a threatening way, but rather with a genuine interest. Perhaps it was simply because he had never encountered someone who was blind before.

She never imagined that Callum would develop feelings for her, considering her blindness.

Callum took the bouquet that Camryn had given him to York Corporation. After exiting his car, he entered the office building proudly displaying the flowers. He made it a point to greet everyone he encountered with a bright smile.

The employees at York Corporation couldn’t help but think, “Is the COO under the spell of a flower fairy? He’s holding that bouquet and smiling more brightly than the flowers themselves.”

Callum even purposefully visited his brother’s office.

Zachary looked up to see his brother walking in with a bouquet and a beaming smile. Once Callum sat down, Zachary teased, “Have you made your move? Didn’t you say you refused to submit? You even talked to Kevin about going to Archvale to escape marriage.”

Kevin was the strongest advocate against marriage.

He felt his grandmother was biased in her choice of a partner for him, having picked a tomboy. In comparison, Hayden appeared more masculine than he did.

Motivated by money, Josh worked hard to gather information about Hayden, while Kevin voiced his frustrations to Zachary regarding their grandmother’s unfair behavior. Kevin urged Callum to join him in escaping to Archvale to avoid marriage and make their grandmother regret her decision. Ultimately, Grandma May provided him with a plane ticket and his passport for the trip abroad. However, Kevin was merely talk; he had no intention of fleeing to Archvale, spending time in the sun, and getting a tan. The thought of becoming darker in complexion made him unhappy. Afterward, Kevin only felt comfortable complaining in private to Callum, while Zachary overheard snippets due to his sharp hearing.

“I never said I wouldn’t comply. Nana arranged everything. We can’t possibly escape. If only you had refused to follow her orders and set a precedent, we could have done the same,” Kevin lamented. Callum set a bouquet on the table. “Brother, my future wife gave me this bouquet. Isn’t it beautiful?”

“You’re already calling her your wife. You’re on the right path, yet you blame me? I wanted to endure too, but I was fighting alone and couldn’t defend myself. You two, my brothers, even laughed at my struggles. Now that Nana has set her sights on you, you blame me for not defying her.”

Callum replied honestly, “Well, I was just an observer since the target wasn’t me yet.” Zachary was at a loss for words. His younger brothers seemed useless. They only cared as long as it was their brother facing trouble, not themselves.

“The flowers your sister-in-law gave me were roses, while Ms. Newman gifted you a mishmash of flowers. You brought that chaotic mix to the office to show off,” he remarked. After thirty years as brothers, Zachary understood Callum’s motives well. “It’s pretty. I think Camryn coordinated the flowers.”

“Well, it’s clear that she has a talent for flower arrangements,” he said. Zachary stayed quiet. The bouquet Camryn created was stunning—opulent yet tasteful. “Is she really blind?” Callum asked. Zachary nodded. “She can’t see at the moment, but I believe she may regain her sight in the future. Do you know who the best ophthalmologist is, Zack? Could you recommend a few for her checkup to see if there’s a chance for a cure?” Zachary replied, “I don’t know any reputable ophthalmologists, but I do know where the rumored genius doctor is said to practice. There might be hope if we can get the genius doctor to examine Ms. Newman.”
