Married at First Sight Chapter 1191

Chapter 1191
“Honey, you need to find a way to help Carrie. She has never been treated harshly before,” Mrs. Newman expressed her concern for her younger daughter.
She was even less worried about her son, who was still in high school.
Her son attended a boarding school and was in his senior year, only returning home once a month. Consequently, she only needed to transfer money to his card. Although her son was much more mature than her daughter, she disliked his protectiveness towards his older sister, Camryn.
Whenever Mrs. Newman’s son was home, she had to treat Camryn more gently to avoid conflicts with him.
“Carrie is only in detention for fifteen days. She’ll be released once that time is up. Our real concern should be Mrs. York potentially suing her,” Mr. Newman pointed out.
He sighed, anxious about his beloved daughter causing trouble. However, unlike his wife, who was focused solely on getting their daughter released, he was considering the long-term implications.
“We’ve already apologized. I even sent Camryn to Hunt’s store to plead for forgiveness, but it was futile. Hunt is deliberately trying to get Carrie incarcerated. I’m already devastated by the fifteen days of detention. If Hunt proceeds with a lawsuit and a sentence is handed down…”
Mrs. Newman’s eyes glistened with tears as she spoke.
After a brief silence, Mr. Newman said, “In that case, we can only hire the best lawyer for Carrie and advocate for a light sentence. Carrie’s actions could be considered a criminal offense… For now, you should hold off on taking any action.”
“There was a child kidnapping incident at Wiltspoon Zoo yesterday, and Mrs. York’s nephew was nearly abducted. This isn’t related to you, is it?”
Mr. Newman, knowing his wife’s impulsive nature, cautioned her, “Don’t act without thinking. Consider our daughter. This is serious.”

“Wiltspoon. This territory is controlled by the Yorks, Stones, and Buchams, along with the Lewis family. If these four affluent families unite, you won’t stand a chance.”

Mrs. Newman wiped her tears and replied, “I’m not in the mood for anything right now. I just want to get my daughter out.”

“It’s best if you don’t take any actions behind my back. If you do, please inform me so I can manage the consequences more effectively. Be extra cautious whenever you go out as well. The Bucham family is skilled at gathering information. Zachary may have already dispatched Bucham associates to monitor us.”

Mr. Newman was more aware of the influence wielded by the four wealthy families than Mrs. Newman was.

“Understood,” Mrs. Newman promised.

Meanwhile, Camryn was unaware of what her stepfather and mother discussed after she left. She stepped out of the villa with an umbrella and slowly made her way toward the gates.

Though their family had a driver, he did not serve her. She had no option but to walk and take a bus to the flower shop herself. Fortunately, she was familiar with the route, having traversed it daily.

Occasionally, she would encounter neighbors who would offer her a ride. All the neighbors were aware of Camryn’s unfortunate situation. While they felt sympathy for her, they could do nothing to assist, as the one mistreating her was her biological mother.

Some neighbors had suggested to Mrs. Newman that she should not treat her elder daughter in such a manner, regardless of her favoritism toward her younger children. Camryn was the only child of Mrs. Newman’s deceased ex-husband.

However, Mrs. Newman refused to listen. It was futile, no matter how many people, even family, advised her. She simply did not like Camryn, to the extent that she wished for her demise.

Honk, honk.

The sound of a car horn blared behind Camryn.

She continued to walk calmly.
She was aware that she was walking along the roadside and was not obstructing anyone’s path.
If she were in an unfamiliar area, she might have panicked and walked in the wrong direction. However, she used this road every day and knew it well. She could even reach out and touch the plants by the roadside. How could she possibly be in anyone’s way?
The person honking was likely trying to alert someone else to give way.
Honk, honk.
The horn kept blaring and grew louder.
Camryn paused. After brushing her fingers against the roadside bushes, she stepped further inside to stay close to them, thinking she wouldn’t obstruct anyone’s path by doing so.
The car came to a stop beside her.
