Married at First Sight Chapter 1180

Chapter 1180
“I’ve been busy preparing for my wedding and will soon be leaving for my honeymoon. Mr. Lewis can’t manage without a secretary.”
The secretary provided a convincing response.
Lily was left speechless.
Duncan was unaware that his mother and Lily would interrogate the secretary in his absence. Fortunately, the secretary’s excellent answers kept his mother from becoming suspicious.
Mrs. Lewis and Lily hadn’t followed the news about the incident at the zoo, as it didn’t concern them.
Knowing that Sonny was at Brynfield, Duncan hurried there.
By the time Duncan arrived at Brynfield, Zachary and Clive had already left, leaving only the ladies at home.
Elisa was still there.
Duncan called Liberty.
When Liberty answered, he asked, “Are you and Sonny still at your sister’s place, Liberty?”
“Yes, Seren said she’ll drive us home after dinner. What’s going on, Mr. Lewis?”
“I heard about the incident today.”
Duncan said, “It was on the news. I asked Zachary, and he assured me that Sonny is fine, but I’m still concerned. I want to check on Sonny. I’m at the entrance of Brynfield. Can you come out and let me in?”
Liberty was taken aback, as she hadn’t realized the incident had made the news. Still, it was indeed significant that a kidnapping occurred amidst the chaos.
Duncan sensed that something might have happened to Sonny, especially since Clive and Zachary had been at the zoo together. Their presence as CEOs likely drew a lot of attention.
“Okay.”
Liberty wasn’t going to refuse Duncan’s visit out of concern for Sonny.
“Hold on. I’ll be right there.”
After ending the call, Liberty said to her sister, “Seren, give me your house key and access card. I need to let Mr. Lewis in. He’s here to see

“Sonny.” Serenity handed the key and access card to her sister. Liberty stepped outside. Once Liberty was gone, Elisa said, “Seren, Mr. Lewis really cares about Sonny. He’s coming to visit him.” Grandma May, who was picking vegetables with Serenity for dinner, chuckled to herself. It seemed that Duncan rushed over every time something happened to Sonny or his mother. Since Duncan believed he was only there for Sonny, Grandma May felt no need to enlighten him; he needed to realize it on his own. Liberty had just started her business, and it would be unwise for Mrs. Lewis to lose it by going after Liberty when Duncan finally acknowledged his feelings. There was hope for the couple only if Liberty succeeded in her career and Duncan confronted his emotions. Not all elders in the family were as open-minded as the Yorks. Meanwhile, Jasmine learned the news while watching the shop. She quickly closed up and hurried over. Jasmine arrived just as Liberty went to fetch Duncan, so they all entered Brynfield together.

Ten minutes later.

“Sonny.” Duncan walked into the apartment and approached Sonny, who was playing with Elisa. He picked Sonny up, startling him. Once he regained his composure, Sonny struggled to be set down. “Thank goodness you’re okay, Sonny,” Duncan said, holding him tightly and refusing to let go. The thought of a potential kidnapping sent jitters through Duncan. “Let go, Dunc,” Sonny insisted, wanting his feet back on the ground. The women watched Duncan closely; all except Liberty could see that he was more anxious and frightened than Hank, Sonny’s father. Hank hadn’t even come over to comfort his son.
