Married at First Sight Chapter 1156

Chapter 1156
Sonny was the true grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Brown.
Upon returning to their rented home, they found their son and daughter-in-law watching TV, both wearing unhappy expressions.
“Dad, Mom, didn’t you pick up Sonny?”
Hank stood up and faced his parents, asking the question when he noticed his son was missing.
Jessica joined him and said, “I organized the smaller room and decorated it as a kid’s room. I even bought a lot of toys for Sonny. Why didn’t you bring him back?”
Jessica had received a lock of hair along with a note from an unknown woman, stating that the hair belonged to her mother. The note instructed her to execute the plan promptly and to take Sonny to crowded places like the zoo or a children’s park.
If she failed to comply with the woman’s demands, the next item sent to her would be two of her mother’s fingers.
This filled Jessica with terror.
She had relied on her in-laws to bring Sonny back, but they had not succeeded.
How could she carry out her plan now?
Mr. and Mrs. Brown settled onto the sofa, and Mrs. Brown explained, “Liberty didn’t stop us, but she said we could only take Sonny if he agreed to come with us. If he refused, we couldn’t force him.”
“Of course, Sonny wouldn’t want to come with us,” she added.
Hank joined his parents on the sofa. After hearing his mother’s words, he remarked, “Who told you to care for and love Chelsea’s children in the past? You didn’t even help raise your grandson, which is why Sonny isn’t close to you.”
“Look who’s talking. We are Sonny’s grandparents. There’s a generational gap here. You’re his father, but have you truly fulfilled your responsibilities? Your relationship with Sonny is quite shallow.”
Mr. Brown felt a surge of pent-up anger with no outlet to express it.

He snapped back the moment Hank began to complain about him and his wife. Hank refrained from saying anything further. “What do we do now?” Jessica asked. Mrs. Brown turned to her and replied sharply, “What can we do? We’ll start accompanying Sonny more often. He’s still young, and we can nurture our relationship with him.”

“You shouldn’t overthink things when Hank visits Sonny in the future. He’s visiting his son, not Liberty. Stop being jealous.” Jessica simply wanted to distance Sonny from Liberty and ensure that the unknown woman found someone to take him away. This would complete her mission and keep her family safe.

“Mom, I understand. Honestly, I really like Sonny. He’s so adorable and cute. If I see him every day, I might even be able to have a child as lovely as him in the future.”

“Hank and I will pick Sonny up tomorrow and take him to the zoo for some fun. Will he be willing to go?” Jessica thought that even if they couldn’t get Sonny to stay over, her plan could proceed as long as he was willing to play with Hank and her.

“Sonny said he’ll go if his mom goes too. Liberty runs a breakfast business that only occupies her mornings. She can accompany Sonny in the afternoon. If you really want to take him to the zoo, you can pick up Sonny and Liberty after lunch.”

Jessica was opposed to Liberty joining them. If Liberty were present, it would be difficult for them to execute their plans. While Hank might be careless and occasionally neglectful as a father, Liberty was undoubtedly more cautious as a mother. She would hold Sonny tightly in crowded places, making it hard for them to do anything.

“If Liberty comes along, Sonny will be even less likely to get close to us,” Jessica murmured, glancing at her husband. Her implication was clear.

She was determined to prevent Hank and Liberty from having an opportunity to go out together. Mr. Brown remarked, “If you believe that having Liberty around isn’t beneficial, we can join you tomorrow afternoon. Your mom and I have lived in the city for a long time, but we’ve never taken the time to enjoy ourselves. We can have a family outing and unwind.”
