Zachary walked Serenity into the store.
He needed to return to work, so he didn’t linger and soon departed.
Serenity couldn’t help but chuckle as she recalled their entire conversation about having a daughter during the ride here.
“What’s so funny that you’re giggling? Share it with me so I can laugh too.”
Jasmine placed some sweet treats in front of Serenity. “Josh had someone deliver these to me for tea.”
“Mr. Bucham treats you very well. He’s thoughtful and attentive.”
Serenity picked up one of the treats.
“He learned that from your husband. Without Mr. York as a guiding example, I wouldn’t even realize he’s also from a wealthy background.”
Serenity smiled. “Zachary’s little lies set a precedent for everyone. It’s actually quite beneficial.”
Noticing Serenity’s continued good mood, Jasmine curiously asked, “What did you do this morning? Mr. York called me specifically to say you couldn’t come to the store and that I would need to take care of it. He was very kind.”
“I’ve known him for so long, and he’s never spoken to me so gently as he did this morning.”
Since Shawn had a crush on Serenity, Zachary was aware that Jasmine treated her with great care. She never helped Shawn pursue Serenity, but even so, Zachary felt a twinge of jealousy over Jasmine’s close relationship with Serenity.
“Nothing. I was just really touched by him last night and ended up staying up late. He did something romantic for me, and I recorded it. I’ll look back on it when I’m older.”
As Serenity recounted the event to Jasmine, she shared the video she had taken.
After watching the video, Jasmine praised Zachary’s romantic gesture. With a playful smile, she said, “No wonder you stayed up late last night. Hehe.”
Jasmine’s laughter prompted Serenity to playfully tickle her.
Jasmine laughed so hard that her stomach hurt and quickly begged for mercy.
“A good husband needs to be trained by his wife. Seren, you’ll train your husband to have good morals, physical skills, and intellect. I never would have imagined the cold Mr. York creating such a romantic moment for you.”
