“Sure,” Zachary replied affectionately.
Serenity placed the bouquet on the coffee table and pulled out her phone to capture the romantic atmosphere, preserving Zachary’s love for her in digital form.
After taking photos and videos, the couple posed for a few more together.
Serenity was overjoyed.
“Check out the upstairs,”
she said with a smile. “Did you decorate the room like this too? It must be beautiful and romantic. I’m so happy.”
Zachary smiled silently as he took her hand and led her upstairs.
Serenity was right; a red carpet stretched all the way to their bedroom door.
As Serenity pushed the bedroom door open, she couldn’t help but smile.
The decor in the room mirrored that of downstairs, but the love in the air was palpable. A glass of wine in this intimate setting would ignite the flames of desire.
It promised to be a night filled with pleasure and intimacy.
With the sun rising in the east, dawn broke, ushering in a new day.
Serenity couldn’t wake up at her usual time.
She was lost in a sweet dream.
As always, the man beside her opened his eyes and gazed at Serenity’s peaceful and content expression. His eyes softened as he admired her features and leaned in to gently kiss her lips.
“Good morning, Seren,” Zachary whispered in her ear after the kiss.
Serenity was too deep in sleep to hear his morning greeting.
“I may have gone a bit overboard last night, Seren. Keep sleeping. I’ll head to work and earn some money to support you.”
Zachary murmured in her ear, planting kisses on her cheeks. It took him a while to convince himself to get out of bed.
Half an hour later, someone confidently strolled down the stairs, feeling quite refreshed.
Sam waited on the landing. Noticing Zachary coming down, he politely announced, “Breakfast is ready, Mr. Zachary.”
“Okay,” Zachary replied, surveying the room’s décor. He commented, “The place radiates a different kind of beauty during the day.”
With a grin, Sam responded, “You decorated the place with the missus in mind. It looks beautiful both at night and during the day. She will be very happy.”
Having enjoyed a wonderful night, Zachary wore a broad smile. He remarked with delight, “Seren was thrilled about it.”
Creating a romantic atmosphere could truly brighten his wife’s day.
Zachary aimed to enhance his romantic gestures so that Seren could experience joy every day.
Zachary sat down at the dining table and instructed Sam, “Seren is resting right now. Please don’t let anyone disturb her. Mrs. Lane can prepare something for her when she wakes up. Let her know I’ll arrange what we discussed last night.”
Sam cheerfully replied, “Understood.”
Seeing Mr. Zachary’s happiness, Sam realized that the missus was certainly pleased about last night.
The employees were also delighted. Their usually stoic and unemotional boss had embraced romance. Old Mrs. York no longer needed to worry about Mr. Zachary’s marriage.
