Married at First Sight Chapter 1114

Chapter 1114
Serenity never imagined that Mr. York was actually her husband.
“Seren, it’s all in the past. I stopped daydreaming the moment he began seeing me as his cousin-in-law. He has done a lot for you, but nothing for me. In fact, he wouldn’t even speak to me before.”
Serenity was not the only reason Elisa could move on from Zachary. Elisa realized that Zachary had no feelings for her; his heart was solely set on Serenity.
“Now that I think about it, my best friend had a similar experience, only the roles were reversed—she played Zachary’s part. She concealed her identity while dating her boyfriend, but he left her for someone wealthy. Apparently, the new girl had money and connections, allowing him to advance in his career without much effort.”
Serenity replied, “She should be thankful she discovered the man’s true colors before marriage.”
“That’s exactly what I told her as well.”
Elisa grabbed her car keys. “I have to go, Seren. Do you have time to draft the contract? If not, I can ask my brother’s secretary to handle it. I can’t deal with this right now; I spent all night working on the business proposal last time.”
“I’ll take care of it.”
Serenity accepted the task, knowing she couldn’t burden Elisa entirely.
This was a joint investment project among the three of them, and there were certain aspects she needed to manage herself to gain experience.
“I’ll pick you up in the evening for the social event.”
“Sure,” Serenity replied cheerfully while walking Elisa to the door. Once Elisa left, she returned to the shop to assist Jasmine with lunch.
Before long, students flooded into the shop as school let out.
The two paused their lunch preparation to attend to their customers.
Liberty arrived with Sonny at noon.
She operated a breakfast diner, so she only worked half the day. Nevertheless, Liberty felt tired from waking up early in the morning.
“Seren, have you prepared lunch?” Liberty asked, noticing that her sister and Jasmine were busy.
“The appetizer is ready, but we haven’t had time to prepare the toppings for the dish.”
“I’ll make those.”

Liberty instructed her son to keep himself entertained behind the cash register while she went into the kitchen to cook.
After Serenity finished scanning books for two students and processing the parent’s payment, she asked, “Where’s Mrs. Lane?”
“She went home for lunch. Business has been booming these past two days. I’ll put up a help-wanted sign tomorrow, Seren. I plan to hire one person so that Mrs. Lane can return and assist you.”
Liberty responded as she entered the kitchen to cook.
Serenity had no objections to her sister’s decision to bring someone into the business. She always believed her sister would excel in whatever she pursued.
All You Can Eat would become the best restaurant on the street.
Her sister would be the most beautiful restaurant owner.
Liberty served a portion for her son to start eating when the shop quieted down.
She also helped out until all the customers had left the store before they could enjoy their lunch together.
After lunch, Serenity said, “I need to tell you something, Liberty.”
Rocking Sonny to sleep, Liberty lifted her chin and looked at her sister before smiling and saying, “Go ahead.”
“I was stopped in the middle of the road last night, and the car was wrecked.”
“What!”
Liberty and Jasmine exclaimed in shock, asking in unison, “Are you alright?”
