Married at First Sight Chapter 1083

Serenity was determined not to take no for an answer as she placed two hundred dollars into Camryn’s hand. Camryn felt the bills before pulling one out and handing it back to Serenity. “If you insist, I’ll accept half,” she said.

Since the girls weren’t very close yet, Serenity agreed and took back a hundred-dollar bill from Camryn, replying with a smile, “Thank you, Ms. Newman. Your flowers are lovely. I’ll be sure to return for more.”

Camryn beamed. “You’re always welcome. Feel free to call ahead if you need anything. Just let me know who the flowers are for, and I’ll have them picked out and wrapped up for you. You can come and collect them without any wait.”

Turning on her heel, she headed to the cash register. Camryn held onto the table as she got behind the counter and opened the drawer to grab a box of business cards. After retrieving one, she made her way back to Serenity.

“This is my business card, Mrs. York.”

Serenity stepped closer and took the card. “You can expect a call from me when I need your services. Goodbye for now, Ms. Newman.”

“Have a great day, Mrs. York.”

As Camryn navigated her way out of the cash register, she walked out alongside Serenity. When Serenity’s footsteps faded as she made her way to her ride, Camryn waved and silently bid her farewell.

Serenity placed the bouquet on the passenger seat, buckled up, and told Camryn, “Ms. Newman, you should head inside.”

Camryn smiled.

She only turned around and returned to her shop once Serenity started the engine and drove away.

A few minutes later, Serenity’s so-called worthless junk of a car, as Carrie had put it, pulled into York Corporation.

Zachary had many cars in the garage. He even offered Serenity a new vehicle on Valentine’s Day, but she had declined the gift. Despite the couple’s efforts, Serenity chose not to replace her car.

kissed and made up. This was the first car Zachary had ever given to her, so it held significant meaning for Serenity. That was Zachary’s signal to stop replacing her car; the make and model she drove did not define her as his wife.

Regarded as the savior by all employees at York Corporation, Serenity arrived at the CEO’s office without any issues. The door swung open before she could knock, revealing Callum, who was leaving with files tucked under his arm. He must have just had a discussion with Zachary.

Callum could tell that Serenity was there to deliver a packed dinner because he noticed the flowers in one hand and the food container in the other. With only half an hour left in the workday, Zachary would be able to enjoy his dinner right away. Callum couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy.

Zachary and Serenity could relish their romantic moments at home—why did they have to bring it to the office? Callum felt tormented every second of the day for being single.

“Serenity,” Callum greeted her with a smile, his eyes landing on the food container. “What did you bring for Zachary? Is it heavy? I can carry it for you.”

He reached out to grab the box, but a hand was already one step ahead, taking the load from Serenity. Zachary took the food from his wife and placed a hand on Callum’s back, giving him a gentle push. Callum found himself propelled right out of the office.

Pulling Serenity inside, Zachary quickly slammed the door behind him, leaving Callum on the other side. He was left speechless.

Rubbing his nose, Callum turned on his heel and muttered, “Mr. Chaplin, is your CEO so afraid I’ll steal his food? He just pushed me out! He pushed me out of the office!”

In the presence of food, family meant nothing. Callum had been forced out. Mr. Chaplin remarked with a smile, “At

At the very least, you can see that. I won’t bother knocking when the CEO’s wife is present. Instead, I let her knock and enter on her own. This way, I avoid being a third wheel and receiving disapproving glares from the boss.
