Married at First Sight Chapter 1021

Chapter 1021
“Serenity, Liberty, you returned just in time. What’s going on? I’m telling you, the moment you left this house and this town, the house and fields became ours.”
“My son left this house to us. The property is ours, and we can give it to whomever we choose, but we won’t give it to you since you’re married into other families.”
Old Mrs. Hunt felt a twinge of guilt as she saw the sisters bringing many people with them. While in the hospital, she had heard about Serenity’s impressive rise. Now, she realized that Serenity had become the wife of a wealthy family.
This awareness made Old Mrs. Hunt feel somewhat guilty. After all, she and her husband had taken over the house by force. Back then, they had exploited the sisters’ youth and vulnerability to kick them out.
Serenity was only about twelve when she and her sister were thrown out.
After being expelled from the house, Serenity and Liberty would occasionally return to the town to visit their parents’ graves during the first few years. They even attempted to live in their parents’ house again, but their grandparents punished them severely, hitting them with thick canes. The sisters were beaten so badly that they were too afraid to return for several years.
Communication between the two parties ceased after that. It wasn’t until Liberty was getting married that her grandparents learned the news and shamelessly requested a betrothal gift of $300,000 from the Browns. Liberty firmly refused, insisting that the Browns ignore their grandparents’ request. She also sent them away.
After that, there was no word from their grandparents for about another three years.
When Old Mrs. Hunt fell ill, no one wanted to cover her medical expenses, so they remembered Serenity and Liberty. Believing the sisters were doing well, they reached out to reconnect with them.
Old Mrs.

Hunt was aware that they had overstepped their boundaries and that the townspeople had grown weary of them. Nevertheless, the townsfolk did not dare confront her due to her feisty, shameless, and immoral nature.

Now that her interests were at stake, Old Mrs. Hunt unleashed her shamelessness once again.

“I’ve never seen married daughters return to their parents’ home to fight for a house,” she muttered.

When Zachary shot her a cold glare, she ceased her shouting and spoke softly instead. She even puffed out her chest for confidence, unafraid of the repercussions.

What did it matter that Serenity’s husband was the eldest son of the wealthiest family? Could he forcibly take her house?

After all, this was Scott’s house—Scott was Old Mrs. Hunt’s son, and it was only fitting for a mother to inherit her son’s property.

“Grandmom, tell me: who did my parents adopt as their son when they were alive? You keep shouting that this is your grandson’s house. Which grandson of yours owns this place?”

“My sister and I have the right to inherit our parents’ house. We will fight for it if it’s ours, and if it isn’t, we don’t want it. But we won’t back down if it belongs to us!” Serenity coldly countered Old Mrs. Hunt.

She shot a glance at the others before approaching the truck driver and instructing, “Mr. Driver, dump this truckload of bricks over there. There’s an open space.”

She directed the truck driver to unload the bricks in the vacant area to the right of the entrance, which was also her family’s property.

When Serenity and Liberty’s parents were alive, they urged their daughters to purchase more land for housing. The sisters planned to build two houses there when they grew older, allowing them to live as neighbors and support one another, thus shielding themselves from the townspeople’s bullying.

“You can’t dump them here! This is my house!”
Old Mrs. Hunt noticed what was happening and quickly rushed over. She stood in the center of the open space, arms outstretched, and shouted, “Which of you dares to dump those bricks here? Crush me if you dare!”
Zachary waved his hand.
Then, two bodyguards approached and seized Old Mrs. Hunt, one on each side, and began to lead her away.
“What are you doing? Let me go!”
Old Mrs. Hunt struggled fiercely against their grip.
