Married at First Sight Chapter 878

Chapter 878
“Seren, what kind of ridiculous story has he fed you? Has he really been leading you to believe he was just a salaryman?”
Serenity had anticipated that Elisa would be furious and sever ties with her as soon as she discovered that Zachary was Mr. York.
However, when confronted with the truth, Elisa was enraged, but her anger was directed at Zachary for deceiving both of them. She would have ended things with him immediately if he had disclosed his marriage from the start.
Instead, Zachary remained silent, misleading Elisa into thinking he was single. Elisa became infatuated with him, inadvertently positioning herself as a homewrecker in someone else’s marriage—specifically, the marriage of her own cousin with whom she had formed a close bond.
“When did you obtain your marriage license, Seren?” Elisa suddenly inquired.
Serenity responded, “I believe it was in early October.”
It was a rushed marriage, and since Serenity was simply seeking a marriage of convenience, the exact date held little significance for her. All she recalled was that it occurred at the beginning of October.
“Seren, our wedding anniversary falls on the tenth of October.”
Feeling the pressure, Zachary finally spoke up and shared the date of their marriage.
“I confessed my feelings to you after you and Seren obtained your marriage license. You did that on purpose, Zachary!”
If Elisa had declared her love for Zachary before he got married, it might have been understandable, but that was not the case.
While Zachary did not reciprocate her feelings, he also failed to make it clear that he was unavailable. He only put on his wedding band when the advances became overwhelming, and Elisa ceased her pursuit upon seeing the ring.
Zachary grumbled, “Do I need to report my personal affairs with Seren to you?”
“No, you don’t have to, but you could have mentioned that you were married. I would have…”

From the very beginning, you have avoided me. Why didn’t you mention that you were married? You were irritated by my persistence, yet you didn’t stop me from pursuing you because it boosted your ego.”

Zachary was at a loss for words.

Feeling anxious, he shifted his gaze to Serenity.

Serenity met his eyes without flinching.

“Seren, we agreed to keep our marriage a secret… That’s why I didn’t inform Ms. Stone that I have a wife.”

Serenity continued to stare at him, speechless.

Having already expressed her feelings to Zachary, she had nothing more to say.

“Elisa.”

Jasmine gently tugged at Elisa and waited for her to glance over before whispering, “Can I speak with you?”

Elisa followed Jasmine out of the shop.

Serenity was unaware of what they discussed outside. Her mind was racing after Elisa’s accusations against Zachary.

Taking a seat behind the cash register, she resumed her crafting. Serenity said, “You should leave, Zachary. Your presence will only upset Elisa further.”

Frowning, Zachary erupted in anger, “Serenity, do you care more about Elisa than me? Are you really going to abandon your husband just because she’s upset?”

She was kicking him out for Elisa!
