Mr. Zachary mentioned setting aside his dignity to win his wife back.

Jim hurried to the car to retrieve the roses for Mr. Zachary.
“Sir, these are the flowers you bought for your wife. You haven’t given them to her yet.”
Jim handed the bouquet to Zachary.
Zachary snapped out of his thoughts, remembering that he had indeed bought Seren some roses.
Taking the bouquet from Jim, Zachary said in a deep voice, “I’ll inform Sam to double your bonus.”
While Jim felt overjoyed, he maintained a respectful demeanor. “The bonus doesn’t matter to me as long as you and your wife can reconcile.”
“I’ll use your bonus to buy my wife some flowers then.”
Jim was left speechless.
All he had done was pledge his loyalty, yet Mr. Zachary was taking away his doubled bonus.
Everyone turned their heads away to stifle their laughter.
With the bouquet in hand, Zachary was about to enter the shop when he paused. He instructed his security detail, “Go home. Your presence will remind Seren that I lied to her.”
His bodyguards represented his status as Mr. York in Wiltspoon.
The security team was left speechless.
Without considering his security detail’s feelings, Zachary clutched the roses and entered the shop.
Sitting behind the cash register, Serenity was engrossed in her crafting.
Jasmine sat across from her, cupping her face with her hands as she quietly observed her best friend.
With Zachary present, Jasmine stood up to offer him her seat.
Serenity lifted her gaze to meet Jasmine’s eyes.
Jasmine then sat back down, refusing to move for anyone.

“Seren, these flowers are for you.”
Zachary extended his hands to present the bouquet.
“Thanks, but no thanks. Please take the flowers away. You’re blocking my view.”
Serenity’s tone was flat as she met Zachary’s gaze. “Mr. York, I told you—I need some time alone.”
Zachary remained silent, still holding the flowers aloft.
Tension hung heavy between the couple.
Jasmine quietly shifted her chair over.
“Serenity, Jasmine, I’m back! I brought you a lot of presents. Come out and help me carry them in.”
While the couple remained at an impasse, Elisa’s voice echoed into the shop before she physically arrived.
Color drained from Jasmine’s face.
Elisa had mentioned she would return today.
She went straight to the shop upon her return from vacation.
Serenity looked as if she’d seen a ghost.
Feeling sympathetic, Zachary tightened his grip on Serenity’s hand.
“Serenity, Jasmine, look what I got you… Zachary!”
Elisa burst into the shop, her arms filled with shopping bags. She had purchased whatever caught her fancy during her travels as gifts for her best friends. The sight of Zachary here was a shock for Elisa.
