Married at First Sight Chapter 772

Chapter 772
Her sister was right there, along with Jim.
His romantic gesture made her feel a bit… embarrassed.
As he carried her, Serenity caught a whiff of his familiar scent and couldn’t resist touching his face.
Yes, it still felt wonderful.
Zachary was at a loss for words.
She claimed she didn’t want his thoughtfulness, yet when he embraced her, she took the chance to enjoy it.
Just wait until night fell and she—
Zachary quickly halted that train of thought, fearing he might lose control.
After gently placing Serenity on the ground, he went to lift Sonny from the car.
“Uncle Zak,” Sonny called out in his sweet, childish voice. As Zachary reached out for a hug, Sonny leaped straight into his arms. Zachary reacted swiftly and caught him with ease, lifting him high into the air.
Sonny erupted in laughter.
After teasing Sonny a bit longer, Zachary set him down and stopped their playful antics. He inquired, “Sonny, did you miss Uncle Zak?”
Sonny nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah.”
Zachary wore a gentle smile as he bent down to kiss Sonny on both cheeks. “Uncle Zak missed Sonny a lot too.”
Once Liberty stepped out of the car, he greeted her warmly as well.
Liberty returned his smile.
“Ms. Hunt,”
Jim approached and greeted Serenity.
She smiled back and asked, “Aren’t you guys going home for the holidays?”
Most of the neighborhood had returned to their parents’ homes for New Year, with only a few remaining in Wiltspoon.
Jim offered a sheepish grin as he replied, “It’s too expensive to go back. I can’t save much in a year, and once New Year arrives, I end up spending it all anyway. Every year, I’m left with almost nothing. So this year, I don’t…

“I plan to go back and spend time with my parents. I’ll just transfer some money to them so that I’ll still have a little left.”

Still smiling, Serenity responded, “That seems fair. Alternatively, you could bring your parents here.”

Most people can only save a few thousand dollars by the end of the year. With all the expenses that come with the festive season, money can disappear quickly. Celebrating Christmas and New Year is indeed not inexpensive.

After purchasing gifts for relatives, elders, and children, one must also consider gatherings with friends and old classmates. Before you know it, your funds can vanish without a trace.

Those with children still in school, who have tuition fees to pay, must be especially careful with their spending.

“They don’t like it here. They say they aren’t familiar with the people or the environment, and with no one to talk to, it’s much more comfortable for them to stay where they are,” she explained.

Serenity nodded in understanding.

“Ms. Hunt, Mr. York has asked me to help move your belongings from your car to his. He mentioned that the two of you will be returning to the old residence for New Year,” he said.

Serenity glanced at Zachary, feeling no particular objection to his plans.

Consequently, Jim removed everything from Serenity’s car and transferred it to Zachary’s national MPV, leaving some items belonging to Liberty and Sonny in her vehicle.

Jim finished the moving task in just a few minutes.

Once completed, Zachary pulled out his wallet and opened it in front of Serenity. He took out a hundred-dollar bill and handed it to Jim, saying, “Jim, this is for your help with the move.”

Jim accepted the bill with a smile and thanked Zachary. He then pulled out his own wallet and…

He stuffed the hundred dollars into it and said to Zachary and Serenity, “Mr. York, Ms. Hunt, if you need anything in the future, just give me a call. I can handle anything as long as I’m paid for it.”

Serenity laughed, “Sure. I’ll definitely call you if I need assistance.”

Jim shot a quick glance at Zachary and added, “Then I’ll be on my way. I’ll be in the neighborhood looking for more business to make some extra money for the new year.”

Serenity nodded in response.

Jim walked away as if everything was perfectly normal.
