Married at First Sight Chapter 735

Chapter 735
Tania, feeling betrayed by her son, intentionally treated Serenity kindly during breakfast. Jealous, her son bitterly remarked, “Mom, was I adopted?”
She shot him a sidelong glance and replied, “This is how I treat both my daughter and my son.”
It was her brat’s fault for deceiving her.
Zachary was left speechless.
After the meal, Serenity accompanied Zachary downstairs.
“I actually have an evening dress, so there’s no need to buy a new one,” she told her husband. “Evening dresses are quite expensive, and I only wear one once a year. If I buy another, it’ll just sit unused at home. It would be a waste if I gain weight and can’t wear it. I think one dress is sufficient, especially since we need money for Christmas gifts.”
“You didn’t mention this earlier, and now you’ve had Mom come over.”
Zachary listened to his wife’s grievances. Before getting into the car, he gently brushed Serenity’s lovely nose and said, “Seren, I’ve told you before that we’ll live within our means. I wouldn’t do this if I were financially strained. I want to show you that we’re still doing pretty well.”
“Don’t worry, I still have enough funds to add two evening dresses to your closet. We’ll just buy a few things for Christmas and some gifts for the elders. We’ll receive plenty of gifts in return, especially you. It’s your first Christmas with my family, so they’ll shower you with presents.”
He playfully added, “You have to share half of your gifts with me. It’s because of me that you became a member of the York family.”
Serenity couldn’t help but laugh. “Sure, I’ll share my gifts with you.”
“I already transferred the money for the evening dresses to my mom in advance. Her

Her social circle extends beyond just noble ladies, and she is well-versed in current trends, enabling her to help you select a dress that flatters you. She can also discern the quality of materials, so you don’t need to worry about being taken advantage of.”

Zachary was concerned that Serenity might hesitate to spend his money, so he transferred the funds to his mother in advance. His mother was reluctant to accept his money, but Zachary insisted that it was his duty to cover his wife’s expenses, and she shouldn’t have to help him with that burden.

Tania decided to stop arguing with her son and accepted the amount he sent.

“Alright, Zachary.”

“Call me Babe.”

Zachary gazed at her affectionately and whispered, “Say it softly and sweetly so I feel all warm and tingly.”

Serenity playfully slapped his arm and retorted, “You mean like how you say it? That doesn’t make me feel warm; it gives me goosebumps instead.”

“Come on, Seren. If you’re not used to being affectionate, just say it gently. Hearing it makes me feel good, boosts my energy at work, and helps me finish early so I can come back and spend time with you.”

Serenity felt powerless against his persistence and finally called him Babe.

“Even a mosquito is louder than you.”

Serenity was at a loss for words. “Just go to work already. I’ll buy a megaphone when I go shopping with Mom later and use it to call you Babe every day so the whole neighborhood can hear me, okay?”

“Really?”

“Absolutely.”

With Serenity’s persistent encouragement, Zachary reluctantly drove away in his car. After leaving Brynfield, he met up with his bodyguards, got into his private vehicle, and headed to York Corporation with their escort. Meanwhile, after Zachary left for work, Serenity went shopping for an evening dress with her mother-in-law.
