Married at First Sight Chapter 695

Chapter 695
After being caught browsing the internet, Serenity felt the heat rise in her cheeks.
She sat up and quickly snatched her phone back, locking the screen. To play it cool, she said, “I was just looking around because I was bored. Where’s the alcohol?”
Zachary brought over two glasses of alcohol, handing one to Serenity. He replied, “We didn’t have dinner, so we can’t drink much. Just a little will suffice.”
“That’s not enough. I’ll finish this in two gulps before I even taste the alcohol.”
Serenity complained as she accepted the glass from Zachary. She took a sip to enjoy the flavor. As she suspected, the liquor was weak; he must have been worried she would get drunk.
She downed the drink as if it were water.
Zachary took a sip and watched her intently.
Confident in himself, he didn’t need alcohol to boost his spirits.
“Aren’t you going to drink that? I’ll take it if you’re not going to.”
Serenity reached for his wine glass, which was larger and contained more alcohol than hers.
Zachary raised his arm high, preventing her from stealing his glass. He pushed her hand away and set the glass on the bedside table before gently pressing her down by the shoulders. Leaning in, he sealed her luscious lips and pinned her to the bed.
“Zachary…”
“I’m a little scared…”
“Don’t be scared. Just leave it to me.”
Zachary kissed her tenderly, helping her relax.
As she absorbed his affection, Serenity gradually loosened up and swayed with his movements as they lost themselves in a sea of desire.
Ring, ring, ring…
Zachary’s phone began to ring.
“Your phone is ringing.”
“Ignore it.”
He was too preoccupied to answer the call.
Ring, ring, ring.
The phone rang incessantly, but Zachary ignored it. The caller attempted three times before finally giving up.
It was Clive.
Clive had learned that Zachary was back from his business trip and wanted to invite him for a conversation.
However, Zachary did not answer his calls.
Clive set his phone down on the dinner table.
As Alice carried out the dishes, she noticed Clive’s troubled expression. Concerned, she asked, “What’s wrong, Clive? You seem upset. It’s after office hours, so you shouldn’t be worrying about work. You promised me: no business meetings tonight. We’re going to the movies later.”
Clive replied, “I tried calling Zachary, but he won’t pick up. I called him three times as well.”
“He just returned with his wife, and it’s dinnertime. They must be eating. Do you even have time to meet him tonight if he answers?”
Alice fixed him with a piercing, challenging look. Clive could very well try to ditch her at home to meet with Zachary.
Clive quickly responded, “I don’t have time tonight. I’ll reach out to him tomorrow. He must be busy since he just got back with Serenity.”
The couple was currently at Alice’s family home. With Mrs. Stone and her daughter absent, they could speak freely, without concern about Elisa overhearing anything about Serenity and Zachary.
Clive planned to enjoy the movie with his wife before inviting Zachary out.
The darkness of night would provide the perfect cover for their conversation, ensuring Elisa remained unaware.
Meanwhile, at Regent Residences…
