Married at First Sight Chapter 516

Chapter 516
Liberty smiled and said, “Hank is currently infatuated with you, so he will certainly listen to you. You should go and talk to him now. If he agrees to give up custody of Sonny, ask him to take some time off from work so we can finalize the divorce procedures this afternoon.”
“The sooner he becomes single, the sooner you can marry him and become the wife of Waltham Electronics’ manager. Waltham Electronics has a solid reputation in the industry, with promising prospects and growth potential. If you become the manager’s wife, you’ll be better off than others at the office.
“The most important part is that he will be yours in the future. You can spend whatever he earns, and you won’t have to hide your relationship anymore. You two can express your affection publicly. I believe most women desire that, right?
“Hank is only thirty years old and already successful. If you miss this opportunity, you may not find anyone better in the future. Ms. Yates, this is your moment to shine for your happiness!”
After some reflection, Jessica replied, “You can borrow a laptop from the café owner to type the new divorce agreement. Then, just sign it and stamp your fingerprint on it. Later, we’ll head to City Hall to complete the divorce process. I’ll go out now and convince Hank to relinquish custody of Sonny.”
“Sure, but I will only go to City Hall to finalize the divorce once I’ve received the money from the asset division. Who knows if you two will stick to your word later?”
Liberty was not foolish.
She would not compromise again, as she no longer loved Hank.
Liberty needed to remain vigilant to avoid suffering any losses.
Jessica took out her phone and checked the time—it was already two o’clock in the afternoon.
If they acted quickly, they could complete the divorce procedures that very afternoon.
“Wait here. You should borrow a laptop to print your divorce agreement. I’ll go out and talk to Hank now.”
Jessica was also concerned that Hank and Liberty might delay things too long, jeopardizing her chance to marry Hank.
Additionally, the evidence Liberty possessed was detrimental to both Jessica and Hank.
Having finally reached his current position with a high income, Hank could not afford to jeopardize his future.
What Liberty said also made sense. Although dividing their assets was painful in the moment, as long as they kept their jobs, Jessica and Hank could each earn over one million dollars a year. They would be able to recover the money they paid Liberty within a year.
If they established a clear separation now, anything Hank earned in the future would not involve Liberty.
Of course, before marrying Hank, Jessica planned to ask him to add her name to the title deed, give her access to his salary account, and hold a lavish wedding for her.
“Okay. I’ll print the divorce agreement, sign it, and stamp my fingerprint while I persuade Hank.”
Jessica left her seat and walked out, determined to convince Hank to relinquish custody of Sonny with full force.
