Married at First Sight Chapter 508

Chapter 508
“Alright. I understand. Please continue with your work.”
As Callum caught up to the group, he approached his cousin and said, “Zack, Mr. Zen mentioned that he saw your wife with Mrs. Stone and Miss Stone just a few minutes ago. They chose the supreme lounge for lunch.”
The lounge was the most exclusive private dining room at the Wiltspoon Hotel, a choice not made by those with limited funds.
Nonetheless, Serenity opted for the supreme lounge to enjoy a meal with Mrs. Stone.
“Understood.”
Zachary was not surprised by the information at all.
“We won’t run into each other,” he remarked in a deep voice.
Typically, he would take clients to the presidential suite on the top floor, which was on a different level from the supreme lounge. Zachary had a private lift that hotel guests could not access unless he accompanied them himself.
There was little chance for the couple to encounter each other unless it happened at the lift.
Callum chose to remain silent, observing his cousin’s confidence.
After all, Zachary was the one pretending to be poor. If Serenity spotted him and he compromised his cover, that was his business. The rest of the family was merely there to witness the fallout for Zachary.
Although Zachary’s group did not encounter Serenity’s party, Hank and Jessica emerged from another lift just as they caught a glimpse of Zachary entering the private lift.
Hank thought the figure looked familiar, but the lift doors closed before he could get a better look.
The security detail did not follow Zachary upstairs. Noticing Hank’s curious gaze, they turned and shot him a sharp glare.
As Hank caught sight of the angry faces, fear gripped him, prompting him to quickly pull Jessica away and flee.
“What were you staring at, Hank?”
“Are these men part of Mr. York’s security team?” Hank inquired of Jessica.
“How would I know if they’re Mr. York’s security team? I’ve never met him, so how could I recognize his security detail?”
Only those who interacted with Mr. York would be able to identify his security personnel.
Jessica wished she could be among the fortunate few, but unfortunately, she was not.
Mr. York was a legend, yet Jessica had never had the chance to meet him in person.
“The man who entered the elevator just as we were exiting resembles Serenity’s husband, Zachary.”
As they walked, Jessica glanced at Hank and remarked sarcastically, “Are you suggesting that Mr. York is your sister-in-law’s husband? Do you really think she’s destined for a luxurious life?”
On reflection, Hank doubted that Zachary could possibly be the esteemed Mr. York.
“I wonder what Mr. York’s real name is. If I could just find out…”
Jessica replied, “I remember we used to be able to search for Mr. York’s name online. He had an old name, but now it seems we can’t look it up anymore. I suppose Mr. York prefers to keep his name hidden. I searched for it a few years ago, but I can’t recall it now.”
Mr. York seemed to take great care in maintaining his anonymity.
Anyone attempting to find his name online now would come up empty; all searches would lead back only to Mr. York himself.
Upon marrying Serenity, the first thing Zachary did was ensure that she would not discover he was the heir to the York family.
“Serenity’s husband shares the last name York, and so does Mr. York. I’ve caught a glimpse of Mr. York twice, but I’ve never seen his face clearly. Still, the figure seems oddly familiar.”
Jessica was not pleased with what she was hearing. She scoffed, “You said it yourself: all you’ve seen is a figure. Did you actually get a good look? York may not be a common surname, but there isn’t just one York family in the city. Serenity’s husband just happens to have the same last name—that’s all.”
