Married at First Sight Chapter 495

Chapter 495
To everyone’s surprise, Zachary grimaced and ignored Josh, storming past him. The only thing Josh heard was Zachary callously instructing Mr. Chaplin, “Notify all senior-level executives for a meeting now.”
Josh wondered if the earth was about to shake.
“Duly noted,” Mr. Chaplin responded, already ahead of Josh, who was taken aback by his best friend’s sour expression.
Zachary made a beeline for his office but returned less than two minutes later, heading straight to the meeting room.
This time, Josh followed him.
Upon entering the meeting room, they found it empty.
No meeting had been scheduled for today, to begin with.
Yet, Zachary had instructed Mr. Chaplin to alert upper management for a last-minute meeting.
The man was clearly on a warpath!
Zachary took his seat in the meeting room, his expression stoic as he awaited the arrival of his executives.
Josh hesitated briefly before approaching Zachary. He pulled out a chair and sat next to him.
Josh leaned in and probed, “Did you have a fight with your wife?”
Zachary wore the same expression he had when he previously clashed with Serenity.
He had raised hell at work for several days until Grandma May had to intervene to mediate their conflict. Only then did the dark cloud over the company finally allow a glimpse of light.
Without saying a word, Zachary pulled out his phone and began reading Serenity’s texts.
She reassured him that nothing was amiss between them.

Serenity also informed Zachary that Shawn had revealed his feelings for her, but she rejected him and encouraged him to move on. This is why their conversation lasted so long. She never intended to hurt him. Serenity was not interested in the next man that came into her life; she only wanted Zachary! Shawn had confessed his feelings for her! For a boy who had not even fully matured to profess his love to Serenity while knowing she was married was a direct challenge to Zachary!

“Josh, do we have any business dealings with the Lowes?”

“None with headquarters, but they do have an ongoing partnership with our subsidiaries.”

“Whichever subsidiary that may be, terminate the partnership.”

“Huh?”

Tilting his head, Zachary glared at Josh. “Is there a problem?”

Josh quickly replied, “No, no problem at all. Understood. We’ll end all partnerships with the Lowes.”

Clearly, Shawn had provoked the tiger. Shawn was a fool who rushed into situations where angels feared to tread. He deserved the consequences of stepping on Zachary’s toes.

“Lowe Enterprise has a project that aligns with our interests. Let’s acquire it from them.”

Josh nodded. “Sure, of course. We’ll take the project right out from under them.”

However, Josh felt it necessary to point out, “By doing so, we’ll be declaring war on Lowe Enterprise.”

This would mean opposing the Lowes for stealing their project.

“Yes, I’m declaring war on them!”

Shawn should have thought more carefully before setting his sights on Zachary’s wife.

In order for the boy to try to steal his woman, Zachary needed to take action before Shawn could be convinced that he posed no threat.
“Alright, York Corporation fears no one. You are welcome to challenge anyone you choose, and you have my complete support. But, Zachary, could you explain what prompted you to go after Lowe Enterprise?”
