Married at First Sight Chapter 449

Chapter 449
Serenity rushed over and took Sonny from Matthew, freeing one hand to slap him across the face.
Though Matthew was about ten years old, his height made him appear as if he were fifteen.
After receiving an unexpected slap from Serenity, Matthew was not frightened; instead, he became furious and charged at her like a madman.
However, before he could reach Serenity, he was lifted off the ground.
Before Matthew could comprehend what was happening, his entire body was hoisted up, and his face was pressed against the wall with his hands pinned behind his back. He tried to struggle, but the large hands holding him felt like iron clamps.
The pressure on Matthew’s wrists intensified, causing him pain.
“Let go of me!”
Matthew shouted, “Let me go! I’ll take you on one-on-one if you dare!”
Emma Repton, witnessing her brother being shoved against the wall, wanted to intervene but was blocked by a crowd of people. Upon closer inspection, she realized that these tall men had somehow entered her home.
They were also incredibly good-looking.
Even at just twelve years old, Emma appreciated attractive men. She and her classmates often discussed which male celebrity was the most handsome.
Staring at the crowd in front of her, Emma was astonished.
Did these people just step out of a TV show?
They were such heartthrobs!
“Who are you people?”
George’s parents, who had previously ignored Sonny, were startled by the sudden presence of so many strangers.
Serenity paid them no mind and focused on Sonny.
Sonny’s face was red and swollen from Matthew’s assault, displaying distinct red fingerprints and blood at the corners of his mouth. His typically bright and innocent eyes were filled with

Fear enveloped the moment. Sonny opened his mouth to cry, but no sound emerged, likely due to his fright. Serenity’s tears instantly filled her eyes.

With a pale face and trembling hands, she patted Sonny’s back and held him tightly. “Sonny, it’s Aunt Seren. I’m right here. Please, make a sound and let it out. Don’t scare me…”

Sonny focused on Serenity, and once he recognized her, he cried out loud.

“Aunt Seren—”

He clung to her neck tightly with both hands, crying loudly. After having cried for so long earlier, his voice came out hoarse and dry. Serenity’s heart broke at the sound, filling her with a desire to punish Matthew Repton a thousand times over.

As cousins, how could Matthew treat Sonny this way? For a ten-year-old to be so cruel indicated a deep-seated corruption.

“Sonny, don’t be scared. Aunt Seren is here. You’re safe…” Serenity comforted him through her own tears.

She shuddered to think about what might have happened if she had arrived just a minute later. How could Hank still be fighting Liberty for Sonny’s custody? Was he aware of how his family treated the boy?

Suddenly, Sonny stopped crying. When Serenity looked at him, she realized he had fainted, his small body going limp in her arms. Panic surged through her as her heart raced.

“Sonny!”

She shook his tiny form gently. Without hesitation, she scooped him up and rushed out of the house.
