Married at First Sight Chapter 334

Chapter 334
Serenity called Jasmine with a smile.
Jasmine laughed on the other end of the line. “Seren, you two finally made up! Mr. York is even treating me to breakfast? I’m so relieved. I was really worried he thought I was trying to set you up.”
Although Shawn was her cousin, she didn’t want her best friend to become romantically involved with him. This was because the Lowe family was not a suitable match for Serenity.
Even though her aunt typically treated Serenity well, if she learned that Shawn had feelings for her, she would quickly become hostile.
Serenity wouldn’t have a happy life with someone like Jasmine’s aunt as her mother-in-law, so Jasmine wouldn’t support her cousin in this matter.
When the opportunity arose to be alone with Shawn, she planned to have a serious conversation with him. She would ask him to give up on Serenity and to stop visiting the shop so often, to avoid any misunderstandings with Zachary.
After marriage, both partners needed to consider each other’s feelings. Even if nothing inappropriate occurred, if one partner saw the other with someone of the opposite sex, they could easily get upset.
However, as long as they maintained their distance, there would be no issues.
“I’ll be there shortly.”
Jasmine opted for Zachary’s offer instead of focusing on business.
“By the way, where are we eating? Send me the location and I’ll ride my bike over.”
Serenity pulled the phone away from her ear and asked, “Mr. York, where are we going for breakfast?” “The buffet restaurant on the first floor of Wiltspoon Hotel has a fantastic breakfast spread. No matter where you’re from, you’ll find flavors from your hometown there.”
Serenity relayed the information to her friend. “The buffet restaurant on the first floor of Wiltspoon Hotel.”
“Got it. I’ll head there now.”
After ending the call with Jasmine, Serenity…

She called her sister and found out that Liberty was awake, so she said to Zachary, “Mr. York, let’s go pick up my sister.”

Zachary was agreeable to that.

Serenity tucked her phone into her pants pocket and headed to the living room to grab her car keys. She also took her cats and dog with her, waiting for Zachary so they could leave together.

As he followed Serenity, Zachary noticed her brisk pace and recognized her cheerful mood. He called out softly, “Serenity.”

“Hm?” She turned to face him. “What’s up?”

Zachary’s gaze fell on her delicate, white hands.

Realizing he was staring, Serenity lifted her hands to examine them. Seeing nothing unusual, she laughed and said, “Mr. York, why are you staring at my hands? If you have something to say, just say it. Don’t make me guess; I’m not good at that.”

Zachary silently thought, ‘She’s not dumb at all. She’s incredibly smart.’

“It’s nothing.” He wanted to suggest they visit a jewelry store to buy rings after breakfast, since he hadn’t given her any jewelry since they received their marriage license. However, he held back the words, thinking, ‘She probably wouldn’t accept it.’

Serenity didn’t say anything further and stepped into the elevator with the pets.

Zachary paused for a moment, mentally chastising himself for letting his pride stop him from expressing his feelings.

He then acted as if nothing had happened and followed her into the elevator.
