Married at First Sight Chapter 312

Chapter 312
“My sister doesn’t owe you anything. Why should she pay to satisfy your mom and sister’s seafood cravings? Hank, while I may not have worked or contributed financially to the family during our three years of marriage, I have made many sacrifices for our family. Do you really think you would have succeeded in your career without my support?”
LATE
“I won’t buy the seafood unless you send me the money. And don’t forget to cover the labor costs, as you mentioned. We’re splitting the expenses. I have no obligation to cook for your mom and sister, but if you insist, you should compensate me for my time.”
“Since we’ve been married for three years, I’ll charge you just two hundred dollars for it.”
Hank yelled into the phone, “All you do is spend money and eat! You’re eating yourself into obesity! What have you done for the family? I haven’t seen any sacrifices from you. I’ve achieved my success through hard work. Don’t try to take credit for it.”
“What do you mean by labor costs? Isn’t my mom your mom too? Name one daughter-in-law who charges to cook for her mother-in-law! Anyone would tell you that’s unacceptable.”
“Don’t expect me to work without you wiring me the money.”
Liberty then hung up the phone.
After his wife disconnected the call, Hank felt an urge to smash his cell phone in frustration. However, he remembered that he had only recently purchased it, and it matched Jessica’s new phone. He had bought two new phones at the same time—one for himself and one for her.
Reluctant to damage his phone, he muttered, “That fat cow. I’ll divorce you when Sonny starts kindergarten! Who would want you looking like that after I leave? Your ridiculous behavior!”
Hank continued to vent his anger at Liberty in his office before finally wiring five hundred dollars.

bucks to Liberty to purchase the seafood. However, he insisted that she keep the receipt for the transaction, as he intended to verify it when he returned home that night.

“Did he tell you to go home and cook?” Serenity asked after waiting for the phone conversation to conclude. “My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are here again. Chelsea loves seafood, but it’s pricey, so they hesitate to spend money on it. Every time they visit, they expect me to buy and prepare it for them. They stay for several days, demanding seafood, which adds up to a significant expense.”

“Hank always thinks I waste money. The three thousand bucks allocated for living expenses would have been sufficient if his family didn’t constantly visit.”

Liberty was not someone who squandered money.

“Liberty, are you going back to cook dinner for them?”

“I don’t want them to realize I’m onto their game. I can endure it for now.”

Liberty was determined.

She needed to gain the upper hand before discussing divorce. Therefore, Liberty had to endure until the situation became clearer.

“Liberty, about the seafood I gave you…”

“I won’t give it to them!” Liberty interrupted her sister. “Ms. Stone provided you with top-quality seafood. Hank only gave me three hundred bucks for the purchase, and two hundred of that is for labor. What can you buy with three hundred dollars? It’s already afternoon, and the seafood isn’t as fresh as what you find in the morning. They will only get what I buy.”

“I refuse to waste the seafood you gave me on them.”

Liberty needed to hide the seafood her sister had gifted her when she returned home to prevent Chelsea from taking it.

“I’ll figure it out. I won’t let them get the best of me, even if I have to remain low-key for now.”

Liberty added, “I stopped fearing the family after I chased Hank down a few blocks with a knife.”

The Browns were quite a handful!
“Don’t leave until Sonny wakes up,” someone insisted.
“Sure,” Liberty replied.
It was her mother-in-law’s issue that she had forgotten the house keys and couldn’t get inside. Liberty wasn’t in a rush to open the front door for them.
Sonny slept until four o’clock in the afternoon before finally waking up.
In the meantime, Chelsea had called Liberty twice, wondering why she wasn’t home yet.
Liberty replied sarcastically, “I’m at my sister’s shop. Sonny’s asleep, so I’ll wait until he wakes up before heading home. If you can’t wait, you can pick up the house keys from me.” Chelsea slammed the phone down in anger.
