Married at First Sight Chapter 308

Chapter 308
Zachary turned his head back to look at Serenity, who was focused on carrying two dishes. He quickly glanced at the food: a plate of greens and another plate of seafood.
This seafood was from Elisa, given to Serenity.
He strode over and took the plates from Serenity’s hands. “Since I’m here, I’ll handle the dishes. You won’t have to go back and forth.”
“Thank you, Mr. York,” she replied.
Instead of leaving, Zachary paused and turned back to her.
“What’s wrong?”
Serenity picked up two more dishes after he took the first two. Confused by his intense gaze, she lowered her eyes to her clothes to check for stains.
“Can you… not call me Mr. York?”
Zachary expressed his dissatisfaction.
It was better to be straightforward with Serenity since she wasn’t in the mood to guess his thoughts.
She adhered to their agreement.
“What should I call you then?”
Pursing his lips, Zachary struggled to find the right words.
He felt that simply using his name lacked intimacy.

He wasn’t accustomed to being called that anyway.
“It’s up to you,” Zachary said just before he carried the dishes out.
Serenity murmured, “If I don’t call you Mr. York, will you respond if I call you ‘babe‘?”
He had instructed her to keep their marriage a secret, and few people knew they were married.
Taking the matter lightly, Serenity quickly served lunch.
Jasmine and Liberty set the table and wiped it clean.

As the couple brought out the food, Jasmine and Liberty headed to the kitchen to help. Grandma May might not be here today to remind Zachary to peel shrimp for Serenity, but he had gained the necessary experience. He sat down at the table, donned disposable gloves, and peeled the shrimp before placing the plate of deshelled shrimp in front of Serenity.

Knowing that Sonny also loved shrimp, Zachary set some aside for him.

“Thank you, Uncle Zak,” Sonny said gratefully.

Zachary replied warmly, “I’ll get you more when you finish this.”

“Okay,” Sonny responded obediently.

The little guy had already filled his stomach with a sandwich, but he wanted to join in the fun. Noticing that Uncle Zak was wearing disposable gloves, he turned to his mother and said, “Mama, I want that…”

Since his vocabulary was still limited, Sonny pointed at the gloves Zachary had just removed, indicating he wanted to wear them to eat the shrimp.

Liberty thought the gloves would be too big for her son, so she replied, “You can eat the shrimp with your hands. We’ll wash your hands when you’re done, okay?”

Zachary then pulled out another pair of disposable gloves and handed them to Sonny. He said to Liberty, “It would be great if Sonny could develop a hygienic habit.”
