Chapter 306
Serenity’s words left Zachary utterly speechless.
He couldn’t argue since he was the one who forbade her from entering his bedroom in the first place.
Likewise, he was also prohibited from entering hers.
Once again, Zachary realized that the agreement he signed seemed to restrict him more than her.
He would have never imagined that he would be the first to feel tempted to breach the contract.
Zachary pondered whether he could find a way to back out.
Where had she hidden the agreement? Should he consider stealing and destroying the contract while she was out?
This was merely a fleeting thought that Zachary quickly dismissed.
The Great Zachary York would never stoop to such a bold act.
“What an adorable dog!”
As Jasmine ran her fingers through the dog’s fur, she couldn’t get enough of its cuteness.
Zachary certainly had a good eye; he had chosen the most delightful dog and kittens.
Sonny squirmed to get down, eager to play with the dog instead of being held by Zachary.
Serenity pulled out her phone to take pictures of the dog and kittens, but she didn’t post them on Facebook immediately.
Zachary had always kept an eye on her Facebook posts, but now… he still hadn’t re-added her contact or Facebook account.
“Serenity, send me the pictures you took.”
While she reveled in joy, Zachary was setting a trap for her to fall into.
Serenity replied, “You deleted my number. Why should I send the photos to you? You’re welcome to take as many pictures as you like.”
Zachary fell silent.
After a moment, he moved closer to Serenity and gently tugged at the hem of her blouse.
A suspicious flush crept onto his cheeks as Serenity turned her gaze toward him. He whispered, “I was wrong, Serenity. Can I have your number again?”

Blinking her eyes, Serenity gazed at his flushed face. It was challenging enough for a prideful man like him to admit fault, but since he had also gifted her a dog and two kittens, Serenity willingly shared her number with him.
“I’ll block your number if you delete my contact again,” she warned.
After adding her number, Zachary reverted to his stoic demeanor. In a low voice, he replied, “I won’t make that mistake again.”
It seemed the couple had established a boundary regarding contact deletion.
If he were to delete her number once more, they would sever ties.
“So, you realize you were wrong?”
Pursing his lips, Zachary glanced quickly at Jasmine and Sonny. Noticing they were preoccupied with the dog, he leaned close to Serenity and whispered, “I’m sorry. I misjudged you, but you need to keep your distance from Shawn. He likes you.”
Serenity looked at her best friend, matching his quiet tone. “I told you, I won’t seek another man until after our divorce.”
Zachary was momentarily speechless.
Why was he feeling unhappy again?
“Seren! Seren! I found a job!”
Liberty’s voice rang out as her cheerful figure appeared. She joyfully entered the shop and exclaimed, “Seren! I found a job! I’m starting tomorrow in finance, a field I’m familiar with.”
