In this moment, Jacob was overwhelmed by the incredible transformations happening within his body. He stood there, staring blankly, filled with confusion and disbelief.
He had a faint recollection of being in an accident and being completely immobile, hadn’t he?
But now, why did he feel as if nothing had ever happened? He felt vibrant and strong, even more so than he had prior to the accident!
What on earth was happening?
Jacob was left utterly bewildered. “Claire, what… what happened to me?” he inquired.
Claire gathered her thoughts and rushed to her father, tears streaming down her face as she exclaimed, “Dad, you were in a car accident and were nearly paralyzed, but thanks to Dr. Simmons, you’re alright now!”
She then turned to Anthony, expressing her gratitude, “Dr. Simmons, I can’t thank you enough! If it weren’t for you, my dad wouldn’t have made it.”
Before she could bow in appreciation, Anthony quickly intervened, thinking to himself, ‘Actually, you should be thanking Master Wade. Without his elixir, curing your father’s injuries wouldn’t have been possible. Truthfully, it was Master Wade’s medicine that facilitated your dad’s recovery.’
But recalling Charlie’s wish to remain discreet, Anthony maintained a polite smile, replying, “You’re welcome, Mrs. Wade. It was my honor.”
If it hadn’t been for Master Wade’s miraculous elixir, even Anthony would have found it impossible to heal the spinal injury and paralysis.
The doctor, equally astonished, stuttered, “Dr. Simmons, you’ve performed a medical miracle! The pill you used could earn you a Nobel Prize in Medicine! This is a groundbreaking development for all humanity!”
Anthony managed an awkward smile, saying, “Oh no, you’re too kind. I just happened to come across this miraculous medicine by chance. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to restore a paralyzed patient to normalcy, despite my skills.”
The doctor sighed in admiration, “This miraculous medicine is a true marvel! It could save countless lives if produced on a larger scale!”
Anthony shook his head. “I’m afraid this medicine is crafted by someone with extraordinary abilities. It’s incredibly rare and precious, and I only have half of it left, so mass production is out of the question.”
“Oh, that’s unfortunate…”
Claire quickly interjected, “Doctor, can you tell me when my father might be discharged given his current condition?”
“Well, I’ve just assessed Mr. Wilson’s status. His spinal injury has healed, and other bodily injuries are recovering well. However, I recommend he stays in the hospital for a few days for observation. It’s also important for him to rest properly.”
Anthony added, “Exactly, Mrs. Wade. Recovery is paramount, so I also suggest Mr. Wilson take a few days in the hospital. We’ll monitor his progress.”
Claire nodded in agreement. “Alright, thank you both for your guidance and advice!”
Charlie addressed the gathering, “Everyone, I appreciate you coming to visit my father-in-law. He has just recovered from severe injuries, so let’s allow him some quiet time to rest.”
They all nodded, understanding that since Master Wade had spoken, it was best to leave promptly to avoid disrupting his family. They respectfully bid farewell to Charlie as they exited the ward.
As Charlie escorted them out, Elaine turned to Claire, her voice laced with concern, “Claire, Charlie the loser is becoming more and more cunning! He’s even deceiving those VIPs! He’s signing his own death wish!”
