He had just been brutally beaten at the convention and exhibition center that he owned, and to add insult to injury, he had been forced to kneel and apologize to the very person who had assaulted him. Despite his anger, Jason understood that provoking the Quinton family was not an option. Thus, he could only seethe and curse Charlie internally.

In his mind, everything had spiraled out of control because Charlie dared him to touch the cars. This challenge had led to his beating and humiliation in front of Claire, leaving him thirsting for revenge against Charlie. He was determined to make Charlie pay for the embarrassment he had suffered today!

At that moment, Luke swiftly commanded the security guards, “Alright, stop hitting him.”

Immediately, the guards ceased their assault. The security personnel who worked for the convention and exhibition center had already been overwhelmed and were sprawled on the ground.

Charlie looked at Jason, who was still seated on the ground, and grinned as he remarked, “Mr. Grant, it appears you have no chance of touching those two cars at all!”

Jason’s hatred for Charlie intensified, and he was taken aback by Charlie’s audacity to provoke him further. He glared at Charlie and shouted, “Charlie! You are the reason behind my humiliation today! I swear I will make you pay for this!”

With a smile, Charlie replied, “What? Did I do something wrong?”

He then turned to Claire, who stood beside him, and asked, “My dear wife, did I do anything wrong?”

Claire felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her as she found herself in a difficult position. While she had been furious with Jason’s earlier mockery of Charlie, she never anticipated the situation would escalate like this.

Initially, she had restrained her anger towards Jason because she hoped they could still work together on the refurbishment of the exhibition center.

However, witnessing Jason’s true nature left her feeling disgusted. She fixed her gaze on him and stated firmly, “Mr. Grant, you were the one who started this by provoking Charlie. You insisted on touching the car, and that led to your beating. This has nothing to do with Charlie. I hope you can recognize your mistakes and stop causing trouble for him!”

As Jason realized Claire shared his disdain towards him, he glared at Charlie, gritting his teeth and bellowing, “You worthless piece of trash! I will make you pay!”

Charlie looked surprised and asked, “What did you just call me?”

Jason retorted, “I called you a worthless piece of trash! Are you deaf?”

At that moment, Jessica, who had been standing nearby, chimed in, “Charlie, you’re just a useless son-in-law living off your wife and her family. You should be thankful Mr. Grant only called you trash.”

Charlie remained unfazed and merely smiled as he said, “You say I’m a worthless piece of trash, yet it seems you couldn’t even touch those cars and ended up getting beaten for trying. Maybe you should consider who the real trash is here?”

The crowd erupted in laughter at Charlie’s words.

Jason’s face twisted in anger. Clenching his teeth, he said, “Don’t act like you could actually touch the cars if you wanted to. Why don’t you show me if you can?”

Jason was convinced he had outsmarted Charlie this time.

If Charlie fell for his ploy and attempted to touch the cars, he would surely face the same fate as Jason. This way, Jason could at least regain some dignity.

But to Jason’s surprise, Charlie calmly replied, “What’s the point of just touching the car? Would you like me to take it for a test drive instead?”

“Hahaha!” Jason laughed derisively. “A test drive? Who do you think you are? You’re just a useless piece of trash. You really think you can test drive those cars today? If you can even touch the doorknobs, I’ll admit defeat!”

Feeling bold, Jason was unafraid of challenging Charlie since Luke and his men were watching over the cars. If Charlie attempted to touch them, he would undoubtedly be beaten too!

Charlie smiled and pointed at the Aston Martin ONE-77 before him, asking Claire, “Wife, would you like to take this car for a drive? If you’re interested, I can take you for a spin right now!”

Upon hearing Charlie’s words, Claire quickly pulled him aside and whispered, “Charlie, what are you doing? Are you really trying to let Mr. Grant win?”

Meanwhile, Jason struggled to his feet, sneering at Charlie. “Charlie, what are you trying to prove? Do you even know anything about this car? There are only seventy-seven of these in the world, and none are for sale! You’re dreaming if you think you can drive it when my dad hasn’t even sat in it!”

Charlie simply shrugged and replied, “This is my car. Why can’t I take it for a drive?”
